Community Guidelines
Effective date: 17 October 2026
Shalom is a place for the Jewish community to find each other. These rules apply to everything you post, send or organize in the App. Breaking them can lead to content removal and a permanent ban.
Zero tolerance
We do not allow, under any circumstances:
- Hate speech, antisemitism, racism or attacks on any person or group.
- Threats, harassment, bullying, stalking or intimidation.
- Sexual content, nudity or sexual solicitation, and anything involving minors in a sexual context.
- Violence, glorification of terrorism, or encouragement of self-harm.
- Sharing someone's private information (home address, phone, documents) without their consent.
- Scams, fraud, spam, pyramid schemes or misleading business listings.
- Illegal goods, services or activity.
- Impersonating a person, rabbi, organization or business.
Be accurate
- Only add real places. Food places must be certified kosher and you should name the certification.
- Do not post fake reviews, reviews of your own business, or reviews written for payment.
- Do not claim a place you are not authorized to manage.
Be safe and respectful
- Respect people's privacy. Many communities share addresses only after verification; do not publish them.
- Organize minyanim and events in public places such as synagogues or community centers whenever possible.
- Hosts of meals decide whom to accept and may decline any request.
- Disagree respectfully. Halachic and community differences are not a license for insults.
Reporting and blocking
Use Report on any place, post, comment, review, event, minyan or profile, and Block to stop seeing a user and stop their messages and notifications. We review reports and act on objectionable content, normally within 24 hours. In an emergency, contact local emergency services first.
Enforcement
We may remove content, limit features, suspend or permanently remove accounts, and report illegal activity to authorities. Contact ron@digitab.co.il to appeal a decision.
