Delete your Shalom account

You can delete your Shalom account and its data at any time, in the app or by email. Shalom is an app for iPhone and Android by Ron Tabachnik (Digitab).

In the app

1. Open Shalom and sign in.
2. Open Menu and tap Settings.
3. Under Account, tap Account Management.
4. Tap Delete account, then tap Delete to confirm.

Your account is deleted immediately and you are signed out. This can't be undone.

Without the app

Email ron@digitab.co.il from the email address of your Shalom account, with the subject Delete my Shalom account. We delete the account and its data within 30 days of your request.

What is deleted

• Your account: email address and login.
• Your profile: display name, city and "about you" text.
• Posts, comments, reviews and ratings you wrote.
• Direct messages you sent.
• Minyanim, Shabbat meals and events you created, and your RSVPs.
• City alerts, notification settings and the push notification tokens of your devices.
• Place claims you submitted.

Photos from your posts and the documents you uploaded with place claims are removed from our storage within 30 days, not instantly.

What is kept

• Reports you filed are kept without your identity, for up to 2 years for safety and legal purposes.
• Places you added stay in the directory without your name.
• Messages other people sent you stay in their conversation with you, unless they delete them.
• Backups expire on our providers' standard schedules.
